Senior Night with College Counseling. On Thursday, September 3, College Counseling will host a virtual senior night program, The Application Process: The Trends and What to Expect. The College Counseling team will present the latest information on college trends and discuss the application process, timeline, and expectations. We will be joined by a guest speaker. The program is required for seniors, and parents are encouraged to attend. It will also be recorded and posted online.
Senior Meetings. During the first two weeks of September, seniors must schedule an individual meeting with their college counselor to discuss their application process. These meetings continue throughout the senior year.
College Representative Visits. Representatives from dozens of colleges and universities will meet virtually with seniors this fall. Juniors are welcome to attend the sessions if they have no other obligations at that time. More information is forthcoming.
Filing for Financial Aid. Families can begin filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile on October 1. More information is available here and here. College Counseling will host a financial aid and FAFSA workshop during Parents Visiting Weekend in October.
College Counseling Seminar for Seniors. Seniors will attend a seminar in late September/early October. Date to be announced.
Junior Class Meeting with College Counseling. In late September, College Counseling will meet with juniors to prepare them for the testing phase of the college process. Dates to be announced.
PSAT for Juniors and Sophomores. All juniors and sophomores will take the PSAT at George School on Wednesday, October 14. College Counseling will register students automatically.
Sophomore Class Meeting with College Counseling. College Counseling will meet with the sophomore class in December. Date to be announced.
